Islamic Law, Islamic Finance, and Sustainable Development Goals: A Systematic Literature Review

In essence, Islamic law (Maqasid al-Shariah) and the sustainable development goals (SDGs) initiated by United Nations have same goal: to achieve perfection of a human life. Meanwhile, finance is regarded as an implementation law, many products instruments are derived from law. Prior studies on finance, SDGs tend be scattered, role in still questionable. This paper uses systematic literature review investigate intersection SDGs. We selected papers that focused inclusion criterion excluded only discussed countries exclusion criterion. retrieved 65 book chapters published 2008 2022 Scopus database analyze which parts can contribute use thematic analysis for data synthesis grouping findings into their relation using Al-Ghazali’s Framework Maqashid Al-Shariah UN, then explaining research results narrative method.
